We are delighted to be able to bring you the first edition of our new bi-monthly magazine, Sub Please Ref.

This is a magazine dedicated to all things EFL and non-league, and we speak to a range of players, clubs and fans in each edition on a range of different topics and discussions.

In our first edition, we speak to Cray Wanderers manager Tony Russell, Exeter City fans and brothers Tom and Jack Vickery, and Woking defender Ben Gerring.

Tony Russell hit the 250-game mark in charge of Cray Wanderers earlier this season, and so we spoke to him about his time in charge, his aims for what he wants to achieve going forward with The Wands, his previous achievements at VCD Athletic and Erith Town and reveals the best player that he has managed.

Tom and Jack Vickery continue to go strong with their fundraising for the Adam Stansfield Foundation, and have now raised over £85,000 to date. We spoke to them about their fundraising efforts so far and how you can get involved.

We also spoke to Woking defender Ben Gerring to talk about about the work that he has done to coordinate and distribute food parcels to those most in need in and around the local communities, and the part he has played in coordinating a national effort from clubs up and down the country to do similar.

Furthermore, we review each side’s start to the campaign in the Championship, Leagues One and Two, the National League and both North and South divisions, as well as picking our Team of the Season so far in each division.

Finally, Off The Line Lee brings an in-depth look at Bolton Wanderers’ start to the campaign, highlighting what is going wrong at the moment and how they can turn around their fortunes if they still want to remain ambitious of being in contention for promotion come the end of the season.
